Oxygen Gets Strong 'Dance' Sampling

Oxygen’s aggressive promotion of its new competition series Dance Your Ass Off seems to have paid off, as the show debuted to 1.27 million total viewers Monday night at 10 p.m., making it the most-watched premiere in the network’s history.

Turner Brings Dark Blue Promotion to N.Y. Underground

Turner Entertainment Networks is going underground to promote the premiere of Dark Blue, its new drama series about undercover L.A. cops set to premiere July 15. All this month, riders going through New York's Grand Central Terminal will find themselves in Dark Blue's underworld of Los Angeles.

USA Nabs Q2 Ratings Victory

USA Network held off rival TNT to win the second-quarter ratings crown, averaging 1.37 million adults 18-49, an increase of 9 percent over its Q2 ‘08 delivery. Despite a five week stretch in which TNT’s coverage of the NBA Playoffs churned up record ratings for the Turner net, USA was able to hold on to preserve a 3.4 percent margin of victory in the demo.
