For those chuckling in recognition at the absurd lines above, Sirius XM has a new channel just for you.

Starting Friday, the satellite radio firm will present Monty Python skits, movie clips and songs 24 hours a day on XM channel 151 and Sirius channel 105, though for 10 days only.

The Monty Python channels are in celebration of the comedy troupe's 40th anniversary. The debut of the channels come a day after Monty Python is set to receive a Special Award from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

Monty Python first gained prominence courtesy of their BBC TV show Monty Python's Flying Circus starring Terry Gilliam, John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Eric Idle.

The Sirius XM channels will also feature ruminations from Monty Python members, and celebrities introducing some of their favorite skits.

It's not the first time Sirius XM has created a limited-run channel. One recent channel was also to celebrate a 40th anniversary, that being the Woodstock Festival of music at Max Yasgur's farm. Another limited channel was created for Bruce Springsteen, though it has been extended so many times that subscribers might view it as a permanent channel.
