Fame
Best Movie Ever
I laughed, i cried, i lived. The new fame movie was fantastic. The charecters were relatable and so so real. From the second the came on screen i cared for these people like they were my best friends. I was so angry when the began stuffing up their lifes. Now maybe i'm just a very empathetic person but i lived with these charecters i loved with them, i cried with them. These charecters seemed so real to me, most of that was the work of the fantastic actors and actresses that were brought to our attention during this film. Notable breakthrough performances were that of Naturi Naughton as Denise, Kay Panabaker as Jenny, Asher Book as Marco and Collins Pennie. I thought that these performances were spectacular and the extent of charecter devlopment (in a movie that was probably to short for all of it's amazing charecters) was breath taking. i know i that im in the minority but i LOVED fame, however i am young and aslo a performer so maybe some of you have lost the feeling that is still strong in me. Espesically if you have go see the film, Remember the feelings, Remember the love and heartbreak but most importantly ........ REMEMBER MY NAME!

Where the Wild Things Are
Rich, subtle, moving
Spike Jonze and his crew have spent over four years creating "Where The Wild Things Are" and it has paid off with a subtle, deeply moving portrait of what it feels like to be a kid. While the story is fairly simple, the movie is not........Max is a boy who is feeling angry and sad and neglected by his mom, his sister and friends....when he gets to the island with the wild things and is anointed king, they expect him to make everything better and that they will all get along....like a "perfect" family. Max tries to create peace (and fun) for his new friends and he gains insight into how complex people and relationships with those you love are. There is love and fear and anger and an underlying sense of menace on the island. Jonze convincingly pulls off the energy of an 8 year old, wild times with the wild things, and best of all, several moving scenes with interactions between the characters that were so unexpectedly full of complex emotions and at the same time a subtle impact. The acting is very good. The monsters are charismatic and beautifully drawn. The sets are detailed and magical. The music meshes with what's going on. It was unexpected in many ways....all good. I highly recommend this movie.

Save your money
They all argue, u hate them and they all get back together, end of story. Nothing is creative or overly funny about this movie.

Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself
7pm
I love this movie. It kept my interest. I can identify with the child-adult in this movie. Being the oldest but a child nonetheless, I was very protective of my siblings. I made sure they had what they needed by any means necessary. We were not always greeted with open arms either. I like the way it stayed on track. I laugh when things are funny and my mind begins to think when things are serious. This movie had both and not too much of one or the other. Keep it up Tyler, you along with God have my praise for the work you do. I personally like the infuse of the Holy One in all your work..

Couples Retreat
If you want laughs, retreat!
This isn't as consistently funny as I expected. Most of the humour comes from the supporting cast of weird resort employees, not the comedic all-stars. Their (Vaughn, etc.) stories are actually more dramatic, about marriage issues. But that part is engaging - although again, not too funny (and, too long).
