Lam to direct 'Dragon Tiger Gate' sequel

June 23, 2009 Hong Kong's Dante Lam will direct the sequel to the 2006 Wilson Yip hit "Dragon Tiger Gate," with Gordon Chan producing for Enlight Pictures, Enlight president Zhang Zhao said Tuesday. The planned $10 million project, set to begin production in March, is the ninth film in Beijing-based Enlight's newly announced slate to be led by Chan, director of the 2008 China boxoffice hit "Painted Skin." On the sequel to Mandarin Films' 2006 movie, Zhang said Enlight would co-produce with the Asian Alliance led by Salon Films in Hong Kong.
