Cheech and Chong doc to 'Light Up America'


November 11, 2008 The Weinstein Co. is lighting one up with Cheech and Chong, producing and distributing a concert doc based on the duo's current "Light Up America" reunion tour. Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are on tour for their first stage show together in a quarter-century; they're reprising classic sketches like "Let's Make a Dope Deal" and "Ralph & Herbie," as well as trying newer material. TWC will hold theatrical, television and home video rights, with the company waiting to see the final product before deciding whether it will debut in theaters or on television.
