WB taps rookie for 'Army'


June 04, 2008 Commercial filmmaker and visual artist Matthijs van Heijningen is set to make his directorial debut on the Zack Snyder-produced "Army of the Dead" for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow. "Dead" is an action thriller centering on a father's mission to save his daughter from imminent death in a zombie-infested world. Filmmaker Joby Harold ("Awake") wrote the screenplay.
