Beijing Olympics play again on NBC


December 19, 2008 NBC will relive some of its finest hours of 2008 with a primetime special about the Beijing Olympics on Dec. 27. The two-hour "Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony: TV Event of the Year" will be hosted by Bob Costas and Matt Lauer, who were the co-hosts when it aired in August. Primetime slots are nothing new to Costas -- he anchors NBC's Olympics coverage as well as "Football Night in America" every Sunday night in the fall -- but it's staying up late for Lauer.
