Roberts heats Columbia's 'Hothouse'
January 27, 2008 Julia Roberts has signed on to produce and is attached to star in the film adaptation of Margot Berwin's upcoming novel "Hothouse Flowers" for Sony's Columbia Pictures. Roberts will play a recently divorced woman who is dissatisfied with her job at a Manhattan ad agency and goes off on an adventure that takes her to places she never expected to go. The project, however, has no writer or script because of the almost 3-month-old writers strike.
