CBS renews 11 scripted shows
February 15, 2008 CBS has renewed 11 scripted series for next season, including the hit procedurals "NCIS," "Criminal Minds" and the "CSI" trio, the top comedy "Two and a Half Men" as well as promising freshman sitcom "The Big Bang Theory." Also up in the air is the fate of four series that are returning soon with originals -- freshman cult favorite "Moonlight," "Shark," "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Rules of Engagement" -- as well as two dramas that were not picked up for more episodes, "The Unit" and freshman "Cane." The pickup news follows last month's renewals of two CBS reality series: "Survivor," which has been extended through its 18th season, and "The Amazing Race," which will be back for its 13th edition.
