ABC, NBC pilots set '80s invasion


January 26, 2009 The network has given a pilot order to a new take on NBC's 1980s miniseries about an alien invasion. Written on spec by Scott Peters, the new "V" will center on a female Homeland Security agent. Lost in the '80s," from Sony TV and Tantamount, is considered an '80s version of "The Wonder Years" and described as "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" meets "The Ice Storm.
