Networks agree to air Obama speech

September 04, 2009 ABC, CBS and NBC on Friday agreed to carry President Barack Obama's address to a joint session of Congress, which will air live at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday. ABC's highly rated "Wipeout," which airs in the time slot, will be pushed to 9 p.m., facing the results edition of NBC's summer hit "America's Got Talent." The networks carrying the speech are expected to incur at least $1 million in ad revenue losses from the pre-emption.
