CBS orders 'Birbiglia's Journal'

March 15, 2008 The project, based on comedian Mike Birbiglia's weekly blog that chronicles his daily life, will star him as a stand-up comedian who lives with his girlfriend in Brooklyn and struggles in his efforts to be a grown up, have a relationship, and do the right things. Birbiglia and Andrew Secunda ("Love, Inc.") created the project, which was originally set at NBC Universal with Secunda as the writer. Birbiglia, 29, who has toured the country for the past seven years, became one of the youngest comedians ever to appear on CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman."
