Downloads can't buoy Canada music sales
January 08, 2009 Revenue from Canadian digital music sales jumped in 2008, but not enough to offset a continuing drop in physical music format sales including CDs. Nielsen SoundScan Canada reported that just over 40 million digital tracks were sold on digital music services like iTunes in 2008, up 60% from a year earlier.
