Beatty to receive DeMille Award


November 16, 2006 Warren Beatty has been selected by the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. to receive the group's annual Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the 64th annual Golden Globe Awards, which take place Jan. 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Beatty has received five Golden Globes during the course of his career as an actor, writer, director and producer. The awards ceremony itself will be broadcast live by NBC and produced by Dick Clark Prods. in association with the HFPA, headed by president Philip Berk.
