'11th Hour' docu on WB agenda
May 02, 2007 Pictures is joining the environmental movement with the Leonardo DiCaprio-produced documentary "The 11th Hour," which will be distributed domestically by the studio's specialty film division Warner Independent Pictures while going out abroad through Warner Bros. The acquisition was announced jointly by Sue Kroll, president of marketing, and Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, president of distribution, on behalf of Warner International, and WIP president Polly Cohen. The title of "11th Hour" refers to the last moment when change is possible, and the film offers interviews about the Earth's ecosystem with more than 50 scientists, thinkers and world leaders, including former Soviet Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev, scientist Stephen Hawking, former head of the CIA R. James Woolsey and sustainable design experts William McDonough and Bruce Mau.
