Force is with 'Family Guy'


January 24, 2008 "Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest," an hourlong special from the animated TV series, topped the national DVD sales chart for the week ending Jan. 20, besting several new theatrical releases. "Blue Harvest," from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, pays homage to "Star Wars," with the DVD counting among its many extras an interview of George Lucas by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane. [...] the Dane Cook starrer did manage to top Home Media Magazine's video rental chart in its first week out, generating an estimated $11.6 million -- a third of its total theatrical gross -- in rental revenue alone.
