Uni buys 'Immortal' words for Platt


September 06, 2007 Universal Pictures has optioned the script to "Jeff the Immortal" by Chris Bishop for Marc Platt to produce and Adam Goldberg to executive produce. "Immortal" is a supernatural comedy that follows a slacker who discovers that he is the latest in a long line of immortal warriors and, a la "Highlander," must fight to achieve his destiny. The project is the latest for the Goldberg-Bishop team, which set up a remake of the German movie "Night of the Living Dorks" at Warner Independent Pictures in the spring.
