AmfAR evening has all that glitters

December 11, 2008 Event chairs Preity Zinta, Salma Hayek, Goldie Hawn, and Laura Linney will join HRH Princess Haya bint al Hussein to help raise funds for AIDS research, alongside a long list of stars including Casey Affleck, Oliver Stone, Giancarlo Giannini, Danny Glover, Pierfrancesco Favino, Harry Belafonte and Terry Gilliam. Local sheiks could be tempted by the prospect of lunch with Kim Catrall of "Sex and the City," a tennis lesson with Monica Seles, or a portrait from "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" director Julian Schnabel. "AmfAR is an event where the world's most famous faces come together to make a difference, and Dubai's philanthropic connoisseurs will be in the center of a world-renowned event that has a tangible, positive impact on the world," said Shivani Pandya, DIFF's managing director.
