'Chasing Harry Winston' lands at Uni
September 11, 2008 Universal Pictures has picked up the rights to Lauren Weisberger's chick-lit best-seller "Chasing Harry Winston" for Mandalay Pictures to produce. The book, the third novel from the author of "The Devil Wears Prada" and published in May, tells the story of three women in New York -- a daughter of a supermodel, a rising star in the publishing business and a newly single female -- who vow to change their lives for the better in the course of a year. Mandalay is working on Universal's remake of "The Birds" with Platinum Dunes as well as Werner Herzog's "The Piano Tuner."
