Archer, Mull in 'Family' plots

September 13, 2007 Veteran actors Anne Archer and Martin Mull each have boarded a Sony Pictures TV cable pilot, "Family Practice" for Lifetime and "Family Man" for TNT, respectively. Oscar-nominated Archer will play Helena Kinglare, who has built a formidable pro bono practice after spending much of her adult life raising her children and living in the shadow of her lawyer husband William Kinglare (Beau Bridges). "Man," which SPT co-produces with Craig Zadan and Neil Meron's Storyline Entertainment, is a light drama starring William H. Macy as an unlikely criminal: a respected father of three, upright citizen and advice-dispensing pillar of his community by day and the leader of a somewhat dysfunctional, bickering gang of burglars by night.
