Russia hits a bump in digital TV road


September 03, 2008 The adoption of Russia's state-funded program for the switch to digital TV, scheduled for completion in 2015, will have to be postponed, it was announced Wednesday. The information technology and communication ministry, which was supposed to present all of the program's details this fall, said it needs until the end of the year. Meanwhile, industry players say that technological challenges also may arise when it comes to switching 50 million households to digital.
