Cooper is CNN's $4 mil man

January 22, 2007 CNN anchor Anderson Cooper has reportedly signed a new contract with the network, guaranteeing him at least $4 million per year. The new deal with Cooper, host of CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360?," would more than double his previous salary and allow him to continue in his side role as a contributor to the CBS newsmagazine "60 Minutes." CNN declined comment, but a spokeswoman for the cable network issued a statement, saying: Anderson Cooper is an exceptional journalist, and his dedication in going after important stories wherever they occur makes him a natural fit for CNN.
