Terry Christensen wiretapping trial begins
July 17, 2008 Most of the players were the same, but the production was scaled back in the federal courtroom where opening statements took place Thursday in the wiretapping trial of former celebrity investigator Anthony Pellicano and veteran entertainment attorney Terry Christensen. Prosecutors say Christensen hired Pellicano to wiretap Bonder Kerkorian during the high-stakes case, which the attorney called "a war." Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Lally told the jury of seven men and five women that the wiretap "would provide access to Lisa Bonder Kerkorian's legal strategy, access to her innermost thoughts, access to her private and privileged conversations."
