'Camp Rock' seals broadcast deals in Europe


October 12, 2008 CANNES -- "Camp Rock," the latest Mouse House music extravaganza to ratchet up its tally of foreign TV screens, has just sealed another handful of broadcast deals in France, Switzerland, Australia and Turkey, bringing its licensing total on the eve of MIPCOM to 78 territories and counting. Among the additional over-the-air terrestrial deals with local broadcasters, Germany's ProSieben scored with "Camp Rock" in its Sept. 20 debut, where the show ranked as the #1 highest rated live action movie on the station this year with all kids 3-13 and 10-13. At the start of MIPCOM, the Mouse House's Disney-ABC-ESPN Television unit was in waiting mode for ratings results from upcoming launches on M6 in France, Kanal D Turkey, ERT Greece, RTS Serbia,  the Seven Network Australia, TVNZ New Zealand and the BBC in the U.K.
