Cinetic, Fortissimo ink Maximum deals

September 09, 2008 Canadian distributor Maximum Films unveiled twin six-picture deals with output suppliers Cinetic Media and Fortissimo Films as the Toronto International Film Festival's market picked up its pace on Tuesday. The multi-title deal with Fortissimo was hammered out between Fortissimo co-chairman Michael Werner and senior vp of sales and acquisitions Winnie Lau and Maximum's managing director Bryan Gliserman. Also bound for release in Canada via Maximum is Richard Linklater's "Me and Orson Welles," an ode to the legendary director that stars Zac Efron, Claire Danes, Ben Chaplin and Christian McKay, and "Uncertainty," from Scott McGehee and David Siegel.
