Scolnick leads National Geo's digital media


March 19, 2007 In her new position, Scolnik will oversee all of National Geographic Ventures' digital media and business initiatives, including NationalGeographic.com, the organization's digital film archive, shortform video programming, production and distribution and the Green Guide, a Web site and bimonthly newsletter. "There is an explosion of opportunity for National Geographic to reach a global audience through a vast array of innovative digital media and Betsy brings a wide range of interactive content and operations experience tied to its emergence and growth," National Geographic Ventures president Tim Kelly said. "From the Green Guide and the World Music site to our wireless, video games and broadband entertainment projects, I look forward to advancing all of the National Geographic's digital-media initiatives to reach a broader audience nationally and abroad," Scolnik said.
