Cuoco, Headey land leads for pilots

November 08, 2006 After an extensive search, Kaley Cuoco has been tapped to star in Chuck Lorre's comedy "The Big Bang Theory," while Lena Headey will play the title role in Fox's "The Sarah Connor Chronicles," based on the character from the "Terminator" movie franchise. TV and writers/executive producers Lorre and Bill Prady, revolves around two brilliant physicists (Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons) and a woman (Cuoco) who shows them how little they know about real life. Cuoco auditioned for the role in the spring but didn't get it as she was much younger than the character, but the studio liked her and cast her in a starring role on another comedy pilot, the untitled Sisters project for ABC.
