Paul Johnson exiting Reed MIDEM
January 13, 2009 Johnson, who joined Reed MIDEM in 2003 and was previously head of European sales at The Hollywood Reporter, has helped broaden and grow the range of attendees at the Cannes-based TV markets, bringing in players from the worlds of digital content, mobile entertainment, advertising and licensing as well as adding a touch of Hollywood glamour to the Riviera-side market. A well-connected executive, Johnson oversaw the launch of the Digital Emmy Awards and the MIPTV Content 360 initiative as well as securing such executives as Elisabeth Murdoch, Paula Wagner, Rich Ross, Philippe Daumann and Gerhard Zeiler to speak at the markets. "Paul leaves our television division in excellent condition," Reed MIDEM chief executive Paul Zilk said.
