O'Donnell exits 'View' after less than year


April 25, 2007 "While we've tried to come to terms on a deal that would extend her co-hosting duties on 'The View,' we find ourselves unable to agree on some key elements," Disney-ABC Television Group Daytime Programming President Brian Frons told ABCNews.com. O'Donnell has helped raise the ratings for the daytime chat show invented by Barbara Walters. Walters said she had nothing to do with the decision, reached after talks between representatives for ABC Daytime and O'Donnell.
