The film, which is being sold by the newly formed Canadian sales house Cine ChaiChi at the American Film Market, follows the fall and subsequent rise to stardom of a young musician, Cine ChaiChi said Sunday. After he is kicked out of the orchestra and hits rock bottom, a Tokyo-based talent agent steps in, and together they get into all sorts of adventures. Stefaniuk wrote, directed, edited and starred in "Phil the Alien," which was acquired by Lions Gate Films at the recent Toronto Film Festival.
