Buena Vista Home Entertainment has become the second studio to release TV content on the Universal Media Disc, the proprietary software for Sony's new PlayStation Portable hand-held game player.
Patrick Fitzgerald, executive vp sales, distribution and new technologies at BVHE, said TV is a natural for UMD because statistics show that more and more American consumers want to take their home entertainment with them when they travel.
Also part of BVHE's next wave of UMD titles: the 10th anniversary edition of "Toy Story," also coming Sept. 6, and "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "Pulp Fiction," arriving Sept. 13.
