Robert Altman's "A Prairie Home Companion," written by Garrison Keillor, will serve as the opening-night film at the South by Southwest Film Conference & Festival, running March 10-18 in Austin. Other premieres at SXSW 2006 will include James Marsh's "The King," starring Gael Garcia Bernal and William Hurt; Steven Cantor and Matthew Galkin's "loudQUIETloud: A Film About Pixies"; "The Notorious Bettie Page," directed by Mary Harron and starring Gretchen Mol; and Ron Mann's documentary "Tales of the Rat Fink."
