Semel, formerly of Warner Bros., earned $230.6 million last year, while Diller, whose 40-year career includes running Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Vivendi Universal Entertainment and others, was paid $156.2 million. The data comes from Forbes magazine's annual ranking of the 250 best-paid CEOs in the country. Also earning their way on the Forbes list is Lawrence Probst III of Electronic Arts ($24.2 million), Viacom's Sumner Redstone ($19.1 million), News Corp.'s Rupert Murdoch ($17.2 million), Comcast's Brian Roberts ($14.3 million), General Electric's Jeffrey Immelt ($12.6 million), Time Warner's Richard Parsons ($10.7 million), the Walt Disney Co.'s Michael Eisner ($8.3 million), Gannett's Douglas McCorkindale ($4.9 million) and Cablevision's James Dolan ($4.8 million).
