David Ellis, who directed the upcoming New Line Cinema thriller "Cellular," is in talks to direct the action-thriller "Shakers" for Gerald Molen's Whitelight Entertainment, sources said.
Penned by Perry Barndt and Jason Rodriguez, the project centers on a small town cop who, while investigating a series of bank robberies, gets thrown into the fast-paced world of drag racing.
Molen and Kelly Crabb will executive produce the project with Whitelight's Chet Thomas and David Ranes handling producing chores along with Johnny Martin of Martini Films and Barndt of PB Entertainment.
