"Talkshow" struggles in its debut with a concept that proves fast-paced and tepidly irreverent, appearing to mistake manic energy for creativity. He's a comedy writer whose resume is topped by "Seinfeld" (he penned numerous episodes, including "The Soup Nazi") and "Late Show With David Letterman."
