A joint production of Bender/Spink and FilmEngine's A.J. Dix and Anthony Rhulen, the project will be written and directed by the writer-director team of Jay Mackye Gruver and Eric Bress, the writing duo behind New Line's upcoming Final Destination 2. Butterfly centers on a young man whose struggles to access memories of a painful childhood lead him to a shocking discovery. New Line executive vp production Richard Brener and creative executive Cale Boyter will oversee for the studio.
