For someone named after a desert, Sahara Lotti's screenwriting career is certainly in full bloom. 20th Century Fox has just picked up the scribe's family comedy "Dear God, It's Me Rod," with Andrew Gunn producing via his Gunn Films banner. The story follows a 14-year-old kid who, on Thanksgiving, wishes to be in a family like that of his friend.
