David Ayer, whose 2001 "Training Day" explored the gritty streets of Los Angeles, is returning to those same streets for a film starring Christian Bale, Eva Longoria and Freddy Rodriguez.
Ayer will direct "Harsh Times," a low-budget indie feature that he wrote.
"Harsh Times" takes place in South Central Los Angeles and is a coming-of-age story about two men in their 20s.
