Benderspink has optioned the rights to the graphic novel "The Gray Area" by writer Glen Brunswick and comic artist John Romita Jr. Romita has spent the better part of his career as one of the most popular illustrators for Marvel Comics and is credited with producing definitive stints on such comics as The Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Uncanny X-Men, Iron Man and The Punisher. Benderspink has "Red Eye" opening Friday from DreamWorks Pictures and has a busy fall, as its New Line movies "A History of Violence," "Nothing but the Truth" and "Just Friends" will be released.
