"Clockstoppers" is a lackluster children's action film that is sufficiently retro to remind you not so much of the cool hipsterism of "Spy Kids" as the archaic antics in Walt Disney's "The Absent-Minded Professor," all about daddy's crazy new invention. [...] of flying rubber, the invention is a watch that transports the wearer into "hypertime," where one's actions become so speeded up that everything else appears frozen. The movie itself probably will go through its theatrical career in hypertime and land at Blockbuster within six months.
