Lurie, who created and executive produced the ABC/Touchstone TV drama series "Line of Fire," has inked a two-year deal with Touchstone TV.
Under the seven-figure pact, Lurie has landed script commitments from ABC for two drama projects, including "Commander in Chief."
While female politicians, most notably Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., have been rumored as potential candidates for the highest public office, "Commander in Chief" was not inspired by a real-life person, Lurie said.
