Designer drugs and '80s "fabulousness" is the unstable stew from which springs out-of-control decadence, near fatal overdoses and finally a murder in "Party Monster," a true-life tale of the New York club culture of that era. Filmmakers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato already made a documentary about this story, also called "Party Monster." The best-case scenario for "Party Monster" is for it to become a cult hit among those interested in gay themes and outre cinema.
