The film, which begins filming next month, centers on the real-life story of Ralph Waldo "Petey" Green (Cheadle), an ex-con who courted controversy at a white-owned radio station and became an iconic Washington-area on-air personality in the 1960s. SKE is financing the drama, which will be repped by SKE's international arm at the upcoming Festival de Cannes.
