Lions Gate Films and Lakeshore Entertainment are grabbing hold of Jason Statham's rising star. Lions Gate will distribute "Crank" domestically, with Lions Gate and Lakeshore sharing on foreign distribution rights. "Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have written an intense, action-packed thrill ride that immediately captured our imaginations, and their expertise with action movies make them the perfect team to helm 'Crank,' " Lions Gate Films president of production Mike Paseornek said.
