Pizza as metaphor goes as far as it can in this tale of two outsiders making an unlikely connection. Written and directed by Mark Christopher ("54"), "Pizza," which premiered this week at the Los Angeles Film Festival, is a small-scale character piece that genuinely likes its protagonists: an overweight teen girl and an overage delivery guy. Art house audiences might warm to "Pizza's" feel-good message despite it being a reheated recipe.
