Film Movement has picked up all U.S. rights to Aubrey Nealon's Canadian family drama "A Simple Curve," which recently nabbed best writer-director honors at the Nantucket Film Festival. "Curve" revolves around twentysomething Caleb (Kris Lemche), who shares a small carpentry shop with his bohemian father Jim (Michael Hogan) in a small British Columbia town but has very different ideas about how to make their business succeed. "Curve" is tentatively scheduled for a theatrical release in select cities and a simultaneous home video release in February as part of Film Movement's monthly DVD subscription program.
