Reigart bristles with anger over having to bow to the geopolitical realities of a peacekeeping operation in Bosnia, a NATO admiral patronizingly though accurately dubs him an uncomplicated man. Behind Enemy Lines is an equally uncomplicated war movie with straight-ahead, MTV-style action mixed with simplistic politics. Since the movie marches in lock-step with current attitudes toward the military and U.S. intervention in lands where terrorists lurk, "Behind Enemy Lines" will probably overcome the handicaps of strident, thinly sketched characters and a flimsy plot to attract its target male audience.
