No, it's not Gwyneth Paltrow in "A View From the Top," but rather Lisa Kudrow, co-starring with Damon Wayans in this hip-hop spoof and comic misfire from such seasoned pros as director Richard Benjamin, screenwriter Paul Rudnick and producer Scott Rudin. Opened Friday without press screenings, "Marci X" may ride its high concept to some mild opening-weekend boxoffice but will ultimately fare better in the less demanding world of video stores.
