'Dark Knight' shines bright at DEG awards


January 08, 2009 Digital Entertainment Group tagged Warner Home Video's "The Dark Knight" best in show as part of the industry trade organization's DVD awards, announced Thursday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Amazon copped DEG's annual retailer laurels, while Best Buy and Sixth Avenue Electronics were honored for "consumer education of new entertainment technologies through demonstration of products, promotions and key advertising." -- Blu-ray Disc title of the year: "Sleeping Beauty: 50th Anniversary Edition," Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
