Live from Italy, it's 'Tuesday Night Live'
September 26, 2008 More than 30 years after first appearing on U.S. television screens, "Saturday Night Live" is finally arriving in Italy -- sort of. The Italian broadcast giant said the new program will "focus on the country's news and comic gags and politically incorrect humor," though, unlike its U.S. counterpart, it will run in primetime on Tuesday rather than late-night Saturday. Meanwhile, a dubbed version of the original "Saturday Night Live," created and produced by Lorne Michaels, remains popular on Italian cable channels.
